Minors
UAS provides minors to complement our bachelor degrees. Requirements may differ slightly among minors; however, each has a minimum of 15 or more credits. The same discipline may not be used to satisfy the major and the minor (i.e. English major and English minor does not make a degree.) If a course is a requirement of both a major and the minor, a student may use the course to meet both requirements but will not receive double credit.

CREATIVE WRITING
The minor in creative writing is designed to provide students with the skills
necessary to write poetry, fiction, and creative non-fiction. Students also
analyze contemporary literature for technique and form. This minor will help
prepare students for entrance into an M.F.A. program.
