Getting Started Steps for International Students
Step 1: Apply for admission into your degree program of choice. International students MUST include the following forms with your application: - International Experience form
- Financial Statement
- TOEFL test results
Step 2: Apply for an F-1 visa once you have completed the admissions process and been issued an I-20
Step 3: Take both the Math and English placement tests at either your local campus:

Step 4: Meet with your academic or faculty advisor. You can do this in person or by phone. If you do not know who your assigned advisor is, call the Student Resource Center at 907.796.6000 or toll free 1.877.465.4827 or visit the advising staff list.
Step 5: Once on campus, you are required to meet with the International Student Advisor in order to maintain your immigration status.
