EARLY CHILDHOOD EDUCATION

This paraprofessional certificate is designed to give in-tensive training in a specific occupational area. Skills gained are entry level job in nature, and work completed may apply toward undergraduate degree programs in the field. Courses for this certificate are nearly the same as those in the 30 credits of the "major requirement" for the Associate of Applied Sciences in Early Child-hood Education. Certificate students must demonstrate a level of competence in English equivalent to ENGL S111 and a mathematics competency through MATH S054 in order to graduate from this program.
