Student Activities

Welcome to the Activities Office

Social, educational, and recreational programs are the focus of  the Activities Office. The Student Activities Board (SAB) selects your entertainment and social programming each semester as well as offering dances, the Celebrate Rain series, and many of the campus activitiy traditions."Spike" the UAS mascot is a humpback whale and can be seen at many events. We love your feedback and hope you'll send ideas our way to make the UAS campus a place you want to hang out!

Activities Calendar 

If you're looking for an event, the campus event calendar is the place to go. This is the most accurate and is updated daily. We produce a monthly printable version that is a Month at a Glance, but it is published the first of the month and may not contain all campus events. We encourage you to let us know of your club and organization activities so we can let all students know what's happening on campus. 

Club Organization & the Student Activities Board Programming                                               

Student Government recognizes all student clubs and organizations on campus. They have delegated some of that responsibility to the Activities Office. Find your club organization on the Student Government website at www.uas.alaska.edu.student_gov/index or stop by our office. The Student Activities Board works closely with Student Government as they fund most of the activities and programming on campus. Another key organization is the Student Alumni Association who sponsors many activities for their members.

Residence Life offers many activities for the housing students and REC focuses on Intramurals, Wellness, Climbing, and Outdoor programs. The Wellness Program offers a variety of educational and fun programs with health related issues including Alcohol Awareness, Sexual Responsibility, and Seasonal Affective Disorder (SAD). There's always something to do and interesting things to learn. Get involved!
