UA Scholar Program

The UA Scholars Program is a scholarship program through the University of Alaska  which offers an $11,000 scholarship to the top 10 percent of the graduates from qualified Alaskan high schools each year. This scholarship is valid at any University of Alaska campus, for certificate, associate and bachelor programs.

High schools designate students at the end of their junior year based on their academic standing. Scholars must apply for admission to any of the three MAU's by May 1st of their senior year in order to reserve their scholarship.

The scholarship must begin within one year of high school graduation. This means the Scholar may take time off after graduation to work, travel or explore before enrolling at UAS. Once enrolled, the Scholar will receive $1,375 per semester for eight semesters, provided he or she remains in good standing.
