Sitka Campus FAQs
The Sitka Campus does not have Admission staff on campus, however many of the Student Services staff can answer general questions regarding admissions.
Enrollment at the main campus is about 800 full-time and 1,600 part-time students. About 60 percent of students are female and 40 percent are male. About 20 percent of students are Alaska Natives, Asian, Black or Hispanic.
Classes are taught by highly qualified and experienced faculty. Classes vary in size but are typically much smaller than that of larger institutions; the average class size is approximately 15-20 students with a student/faculty ratio of 12:1. The size of UAS contributes to a high degree of personal interaction between students and faculty.
You can find out more about Sitka and the surrounding area by visiting the Sitka Convention & Visitors Bureau.
