Apply for admission.

Take placement tests in both English and math at the Learning Center.

Have proof of high school graduation or GED completion sent in to Records & Registration. If you are transferring from another college or university, request your official transcripts from each institution you have attended, and have those sent to Records & Registration for evaluation.

After placement tests have been taken, and after any previous college coursework has been evaluated and transferred, then make an appointment for advising. You can get general advising at The Student Resource Center. If you have been assigned a specific faculty or departmental advisor, then make your appointment with that individual.
For international students:
Your advisor is Marsha Squires, in the Academic Exchange and Study Abroad Program office, located in the Mourant Building. You are required to meet with her at least once each semester while you attend the University of Alaska Southeast. Marsha's contact information is 907.796.6455, or marsha.squires@uas.alaska.edu.
