Advising Resources
Where do I go for Advising at UAS?
Where you go for academic advising depends on your degree program and/or the main campus you attend. Students will be assigned to a staff or faculty advisor at the time of admission. Students can expect to be contacted by someone from their degree program when they are first admitted, but it is up to the student to make contact with his/her advisor. You can contact the Student Resource Center (SRC) to find out who your assigned advisor is if you do not know. Call us at 796-6000/877-465-4827 or visit us on the first floor of the Mourant Building in Juneau.
Who is my advisor?
If you are unsure of your advisor assignment, or are interested in applying for a degree program in order to have an advisor assigned, please contact the Student Resource Center at 907.796.6000 or stop by the bottom floor of the Mourant Building.

- Be prepared for advising sessions by having a list of questions and any paperwork or information from earlier advising sessions
- Seek help at the first sign of trouble; do not expect problems to be resolved without action on your part
- Explore ways to enhance your education
