Kristin Brown (President)
Kristin has served on the SAA board since her very first semester at UAS. She is originally from St. Louis, Missouri but moved to Juneau in 2009 to pursue her Bachelor's in Marine Biology at UAS. Now after graduating, Kristin is seeking her Masters in Fisheries through the UAF School of Fisheries and Ocean Sciences and will remain stationed in Juneau. Her goals include research working with marine mammals, and attaining her PhD in the future. In her spare time, Kristin enjoys being outdoors, swimming, running, and hiking with her dog.
My name is Chris Salazar - I enjoy hunting, shooting, fishing, most importantly though, the outdoors and how it works! I previously worked with the Alaska Department of Environmental Conservation, as well as a couple of joint projects between the Hoonah Indian Association, The Nature Conservancy, the Sustainable Southeast Partnership, and the US Forest Service. If you have any questions about identifying SE AK flora/fauna, natural science in general, mapping, or job opportunities, feel free to ask me!
