The Mission of the UAS/CMT is to provide world-class workforce training in occupational fields leading to employment in the mining industry, with a special emphasis on expanding an Alaskan workforce for underground hard rock mining.
We offer classes and training for people looking for work in the mining industry as well as upgrade training for those already employed in the mining industry.

Mine Mechanic O.E.
Occupational endorsements are programs of study designed to give students intensive training in a specific occupational field.
Typically an occupational endorsement is less than 30 credits, and is not an eligible program for financial aid.

UAS is an open enrollment institution, this means that you do not have to be in a UAS degree program to take a class. Anyone can take our classes as long as they meet the course pre-requisites.
