MRAG Americas, Inc. is looking for individuals with the skills/experience listed below who ‘in principle’ may be interested in working for our company in the Gulf of Mexico/Southeast region and/or in other regions around the US. All levels of expertise are welcome. Areas of expertise:
Biological:
•Marine mammal and turtle studies and analyses, aerial surveys, and stranding rescue efforts
•Fish ID and enumeration from video or still photography
•Plankton sample sorting and tissue sample analysis
•Fishery dependent data collection
At-sea operations:
•Biological sampling
•Diving on underwater structures and on active fishing gear, and operation of underwater cameras to document operations
•Operation and maintenance of research vessels, deployment of various types of fishing equipment (if you hold Captain’s license up to 100 tons, let us know)
Gear technology:
•Research and development of improved fishing and sampling gear (construction, maintenance, and transfer of new technology to fishers, domestically and internationally)
•Maintenance of specialized marine instrumentation including assembling complex electronic systems, designing complex electronic circuits, conduct malfunction isolations procedures for electrical and electronic systems
