GENERAL DESCRIPTION: Approximately thirty 3-6 month positions
will assist regional and statewide fisheries management crews with
sport and nongame fish sampling activities.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
* Duties will be variable and may include electrofishing, netting,
habitat surveys, instream flow measurement, angler surveys, data
entry, and equipment maintenance as well as other routine fishery and
aquatic habitat management tasks.
KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS:
* Technicians must be able to work well independently and with others.
NECESSARY SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS:
* These are field positions that may require working and camping
in the field for 8-10 days at a time.
PREFERENCES:
High school degree plus experience in fish and wildlife resource
management, research, or habitat development or college course work
towards a degree in fishery or wildlife management, ichthyology.
Must have a valid driver's license.

LOCATION:
Statewide-positions may be based out of Casper, Cody, Green River,
Jackson, Lander, Laramie, Pinedale, and Sheridan.

career.
