Play annotation *Because the only microphone available for this recording was poor, this section of the story was recorded with a loud in-line hiss. To make the speech more audible we applied a “light hiss reduction” in Adobe Audition which reduced the hiss but made the voice sound hollow. We then reduced by -4db the first part of the recording, up to 1:26, in order to normalize the volume.
