Training ToolsSmall Water Systems CD
ATTAC has created a CD based on the manual, Introduction to Small Water Systems (originally published for small Alaska systems). The CD follows the book chapter by chapter covering the hydrologic cycle, basic science concepts, water sources, treatment, distribution and pumping systems, safety, regulations and monitoring, management, and math basics. The CD has interactive activities, quizzes, and information individuals can use to help prepare for the State of Alaska water Level 1 certification exams. The information is also useful for certified operators wanting to review various topics. This project was funded by a grant from the US EPA (Assistance Agreement No. X 826891-01-0). The Basic Sanitary Chemistry CD was created from two UAS Environmental Technology classes; Basic and Intermediate Sanitary Chemistry/Microbiology. It covers basic chemistry and is applicable to both water and wastewater. Lessons 1 through 11 on the CD support the Basic Sanitary Chemistry/Microbiology class and Lessons 12 through 18 support the Intermediate class. The CD is designed for students and operators with no previous chemistry background. The lessons include detailed objectives, instructional text and visuals, interactive instructional screens and self-checks, and unit quizzes. This project was funded by a National Science Foundation Grant (Award 0053310). To receive a free copy of program to download, complete and submit the form below.
