Student Research Assistant Needed
Ecology - Data Entry/Analysis
USGS PATUXENT WILDLIFE RESEARCH CENTER
The Quantitative Ecology Group at USGS Patuxent Wildlife Research Center is searching for an extremely motivated and talented research assistant to work on research projects related to quantitative ecology and wildlife management.
The position involves data entry, quantitative analysis using mathematical and statistical models, report writing and editing and associated tasks. Quantitative and technical skills are desirable including familiarity with applied math and statistical modeling, and data analysis using software such as Geographic Information Systems. Basic knowledge of R, SAS or other programming environments.
Candidates must be currently enrolled in a degree program or have graduated within the last 12 months. The ideal candidate is a recent undergraduate or current graduate student in Mathematics, Ecology, Natural Resources or a related field.
Students are responsible for all costs of transportation to and from Patuxent Wildlife Research Center. Compensation is $14.89-$22.00 per hour depending on qualifications.
