Greetings from the Environmental Careers Organization (ECO). ECO is a national non-profit organization that places college students and recent graduates into paid professional environmental internships across the country. The internships are sponsored by federal agencies, non-profit organizations, or businesses and corporations. In 2004, over 800 college students and recent graduates were placed into paid environmental internships, with agencies like Bureau of Land Management, Environmental Protection Agency, National Park Service, US Geological Survey, and the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration.
As recruiters, we occasionally have difficulty identifying qualified students, and would like to ensure students or members of your department or organization know about these internship opportunities in their field of study and interest. We have greater success in finding candidates when contacting academic professors, campus career services personnel and recruiting with organizations that are specific to the internship career goals.
Currently we have many immediate openings available. Most of our positions are funded for one year, and pay between $28,000 and $40,000. Feel free to forward this email to interested students or colleagues. Complete job descriptions may be viewed at www.eco.org.
Thank you for your time.
