Picture of several L. sitkana on some Fucus, picture
taken at Auke Bay
Pictures of L. sitkana were taken in two locations: Auke Bay and
False Outer Point in Juneau, Alaska. One area of that was found
lacking in L stikana was the of the Menden-hall Wetlands.
This is mostly likely caused by the lack of rocky habitat.
The first trip to Auke Bay was in mid February. L. sitana
was found mostly under rocks. A visit in early April found some
L. sitkana on newly grown seaweeds where, most likely, they were
feeding. Egg masses were also seen in Auke Bay during mid February
. Some egg masses were found under rocks and one was found on some Fucus.
The trip to False Outer point found many snails on top of large boulders
and bedrock.
