Tidal Echoes is a literary and art journal that showcases the art and writing of Southeast Alaska, published by UAS. The 2013 featured author is former poet laureate of Alaska and a Professor Emeritus Richard Dauenhauer and featured artist is UAS ceramics faculty Jeremy Kane. "Tidal Echoes is proof that many of Alaska’s finest writers and artists are living in and inspired by Southeast Alaska in all its natural and human glory, and that UAS is the heart of a modern Alaskan creative renaissance.” -- Heather Lende
