Come check out the Bee Eaters, an acoustic bluegrass musical trio with Simon Chrisman, Tristan and Tashina Clarridge. The Bee Eaters trace their roots back to musical traditions as diverse as bluegrass, Celtic, jazz and old-time. While today’s new breed often produces an amalgamation of sounds and styles based on a distant view, the Bee Eaters were raised embedded in these traditions… raised to mold, meld, shape them and carry them forward, leaving their own indelible marks in the process. Musical workshop at 5pm - bring your own instrument or use one at the REC Center. After a short break, they'll be back at 7:30pm to play. Catch them on their brief Alaska tour...great music is often hard to find in Juneau, so come take advantage!
