Description
This short seminar will focus on the safe and efficient navigation of the Wrangell Narrows by small ships, ferries and yachts. Captain Bill Hopkins, the instructor, is the author of the definitive book "The Wrangell Narrows" which details best practices in navigating this challenging waterway. Using the UAS ship simulator lab, Captain Hopkins will conn a vessel through the Narrows, discussing each course, waypoint and point of navigational interest and giving tips regarding piloting in various weather conditions and currents.
