Student Internship Programme 2019

Are you planning a future career working on global environmental issues? Then a Student Internship with GRID-Arendal could be an ideal start.

GRID-Arendal is currently accepting applications for our Internship Programme in the spring, 2019.

The programme offers undergraduate and graduate students the opportunity to work in a multi-cultural international organization, gaining practical work experience and developing skills under the guidance of experts.

In particular, we are looking for students with a profound interest in the following thematic areas: climate change vulnerability and adaptation especially in polar and mountain environments, environmental crime, sustainable development, marine ecosystems and blue carbon, marine spatial planning, blue economy, and marine litter.

We are also searching for students with one or more of the following technical skills: Adobe Suite (Illustrator, Photoshop), GIS (ArcMAP, QGIS, remote sensing software), front-end development (HTML, Javascript, CSS, D3, leaflet, Open Layers) and statistics/modeling experience (R, python).

The internship is paid and there is accommodation provided. The intern is responsible for covering his/her own travel, food, and other living expenses in addition to visa costs if needed.
