Company: Alaska Fellows Program
Location: Sitka, Juneau, Anchorage
Position: Multiple Intern Positions
Requirements: See job description
We're looking for dynamic young talent to come, stay, or return to the Last Frontier; become part of a tight-knit community; and contribute to organizations that are effecting meaningful positive change in Alaska.

Alaska Fellows Program is a statewide, three-site fellowship program with sites in JuneauAnchorage, and Sitka.

Fellows across all three sites live communally. The three cohorts attend program-wide retreats at the beginning (in Hope) and end of the program year (in Juneau, for Folk Fest) to cultivate connections, friendships, and common identity. Fellows are linked with mentors and share high-octane Alaska experiences in outdoor, civic, and community life.

There are a suite of open positions this coming program year, and notable positions include:

  • a fellow building on-the-ground capacity with AWARE, a Juneau-based nonprofit that provides direct services for survivors of domestic violence and sexual assault and supports political and legal advocacy around sexual violence;
  • a fellow creating high-impact outreach and prevention programming for at-risk youth with Sitka Counseling
  • likely forthcoming positions relating to education public policy and rural community engagement.
