This position may be filled at the College Intern I, II, III, or IV level depending on the year of school and level of skills of the successful applicant.

Qualifications for each level include:

College Intern I
Under close supervision, will assist in providing general computer desktop support. The intern will be exposed to a modern IT infrastructure emphasizing customer support, security and planning for future client needs. The senior computer support staff will mentor the student in the deployment of new software applications or upgrades. After being trained in State equipment tracking procedures by the supervisor, the intern will inventory all computer equipment prior to deployment using LANDesk software.
College Intern II
With minimal supervision, will set up computer workstations for DOT&PF employees. Intern will provide desktop support to DOT&PF users needing support. The incumbent will be responsible for re-imaging of outdated machines and training users on changes taking place.
College Intern III
Under minimal supervision, will set-up and maintain file server administration; file print server administration, network policy services, and server backups as well as provide desktop support to DOT&PF users.
College Intern IV
The intern will assist in the development of the Active Directory infrastructure itself.  During this learning process, the student will continue to be mentored and supported by senior IT staff.  With the guidance of the supervisor, the intern will assist in the set-up and maintenance of the region`s server room.

  • College Intern IV ... $20.38/Hour
