Summary:

The Department of Environmental Conservation (DEC), Division of Water is seeking a motivated College Intern II to support and assist the Operator Training and Certification Program. An internship with the DEC is an excellent introduction to employment with state government.

We are looking for an intern with strong organizational skills, an eye for detail, and extensive computer experience. Additionally, we are seeking an intern who can learn the specifics of our program and become a participating member of the Operator Training and Certification Program team.

Tasks include:

  • Administrative support (copying, filing, etc)
  • Data entry
  • Phone coverage
  • Maintenance of program website
  • Oversight of special projects

This is a semi-professional, year-long position which allows for flexible scheduling to fit your calendar, with hours ranging from 15-20 per week.
