Looking for a Master of Library Science (MLS) program with which you would like to pursue your graduate degree for professional librarianship? Wondering about totally being virtual for the profession of intimate interaction with patrons? Then, what about having your education for free, while you work closely with faculty members and other students in a comfortable and affordable small college town? Emporia, Kansas will be the answer.

School of Library and Information Management (SLIM), Emporia State University in Emporia, Kansas, is actively recruiting high quality graduate assistants, who will work with our productive faculty members for their research activities, work for the technical supports for faculty, staff and students, work with SLIM administration including the Dean, or work in external partner institutions such as Emporia High School Library and Emporia Public Library.

Each graduate assistantship consists of tuition waiver and stipend of $7,344 for fall and spring semesters, 9 months with requirement of 20 hours working hours per week. Non-resident fees are assessed at the Kansas in-state rate. Summer contracts are also available.
