HDRs Federal, Energy, and Resource Management (FERM) Group is seeking currently-enrolled college students for summer 2013 internship. Successful candidates will work with a variety of high-performing teams, including water quality, hydrology, fisheries, biological sciences, wetlands and vegetation, planning, solid waste, GIS, and cultural resources.
Specific duties may include data entry and analysis, field support and logistics, preliminary mapping, contributions to technical reports, project design calculations, general office support, and project planning. The position is intended to be part time with flexible hours to accommodate continued college enrollment.
Requirements:
Currently enrolled in an accredited college program with a major in environmental science, engineering, or related field. Prefer 2+years completed toward degree. Excellent written and verbal communication skills, adaptability, and interest in learning are required.
Valid drivers license required.
HDR is seeking a self-motivated individual with strong organizational and problem solving abilities who will work well with others. A basic understanding of GIS is desired.
