Position: Generation Purchasing Agent/Admin Assistant
Requirements: Minimum 2 years of accounts payable experience, AK driver's license
Summary: Position summary: This position is primarily an administrative role. The Purchasing Agent/Administrative Assistant works is responsible for the day to day clerical work of the department, assisting all department personnel. The position is also responsible for purchasing tools and materials needed to keep the power plants and crews operating at peak efficiency.

Normal work hours are Mon-Fri, 8am to 5pm, with a one-hour lunch.  At times overtime may be required.

Essential functions include:
  • Maintain Department files.
  • Compile and prepare reports, both in house and for others.
  • Compile information for annual departmental budgets.
  • Track department time, attendance and vacations.
  • Receive requisitions, prepare requests, and prepare purchase orders

Qualifications include: 

  • This position requires a minimum of 2 years of accounts payable or purchasing experience, an education the equivalent of High School Diploma and a valid Alaska driver’s license.
  • Good computer skills with demonstrated proficiency of Microsoft Outlook, Word and Excel are required. 
  • The ability to learn other software packages quickly, such as Microsoft Dynamics is desired

The position is a grade 6 with an hourly wage range of $22.99 to $30.50.  Salary is dependent upon experience.
