Summary:

The part-time Prevention Communications Coordinator is an exciting new position at ANDVSA that will be responsible for the development and implementation of communications and marketing related to the prevention of intimate partner violence and to the DELTA Impact grant. Communicating key messages to the public and to decision-makers is an essential part of creating an environment where violence is not acceptable.

 

Major Areas of Responsibility

  • Provide substantial technical support in creating and implementing a social change campaign designed to influence male engagement in preventing violence
  • Develop and implement a social media campaign related to gender pay gap
  • Collaborate with critical and strategic partners, external consultants and other prevention staff to inform media campaigns
  • Draft website section and other relevant public-facing information on the DELTA Impact grant
  • Conduct desk research on various prevention topics to inform messaging
  • Monitor media and public discussion on various prevention topics
  • Work closely with the Operations Team to ensure prevention-specific communications align with organization-wide branding and communications strategy
  • Other duties as assigned, including some administrative support

 

This position is part-time (20 hours/week), $21-$24/hour based on experience. The position will be supervised by the Prevention Specialist and will be located at ANDVSA’s Juneau office.
