Position: AmeriCorps Member
Requirements: 18+ years of age, U.S. Citizen/permanent resident, minimum of high school diploma, bachelor’s degree preferred for many of the positions, be able to pass a background check.
Summary:

Members will have the opportunity to serve in various non-profit organizations and schools working towards reducing ACE (Adverse Childhood Experience) scores within the community. Alaska's Capital City multi-focus program has opportunities available with at-risk youth, the homeless population, parents and young children, and other local non-profits. You can impact change through working with youth pre-k through 12th grade or through connecting the homeless to medical, behavioral health, or health promotion opportunities or assisting in community inclusion of individuals with developmental disabilities. All opportunities are intended to impact and/or mitigate ACE (Adverse Childhood Experiences) scores in children and adults residing in Juneau.
