Summary:

Position Summary

ANDVSA is looking for two dynamic individuals to fill one part time (20-25 hrs./wk.) and one full time position (37.5 hrs./wk.) supporting the primary prevention strategies of the ANDVSA Prevention Initiative. Both positions will be responsible for a mix of coordination and support activities, including planning events, supporting member programs statewide and helping with the design and implementation of projects including but not limited to:

  • Engaging youth: LeadOn youth leadership conference and youth-led community projects
  • Creating protective school environments: support to school staff on talking about sensitive subjects
  • Engaging men and boys: social marketing campaign focused on men and boys
  • Strengthening economic supports for families: includes a variety of possible activities

Pay and Benefits: Both positions include generous benefits. Depending on experience, successful candidates can enter at one of two levels: Coordinator I: $20 – $26/hr. or Coordinator II $21– $28/hr.

  • Have experience and interest in one or more areas of ANDVSA’s prevention programming: youth engagement/positive youth development, school climate and protective environments for youth, male engagement in the prevention of domestic and sexual violence, and/or communications and media

Qualified candidates will have demonstrated commitment to social justice issues, experience in project coordination or implementation, excellent verbal and written communication skills, experience contributing to the positive growth of a team, and demonstrated ability to work respectfully with diverse stakeholders in Alaska.
