Position: Head Bookkeeper/Rentals Manager
Requirements: Two or more accounting courses
Summary:

This is a permanent part-time position, averaging 30+ hours per week.

Responsibilites include:

  • Providing computerized bookkeeping services for several small businesses, paying all bills
  • Managing unit rental records for 7 storage/office/apartment complexes
  • Preparing and posting deposits as needed for the various businesses
  • Running payrolls for four business, printing & filing all appropriate tax reports
  • Reconciling the applicable bank accounts
  • Routinely meeting with prospective or current customers
  • Maintain all appropriate confidential customer information
  • Preparing and filing all City & Borough of Juneau Sales Tax returns
  • Perform other duties as assigned

Job Requirements:

  • Good working knowledge of accounting/bookkeeping; Applicants must have completed at least two or more accounting courses
  • Ability to pleasantly interact with customers and owners
  • Self-starter, quick learner, can work without a lot of direct supervision
  • Must maintain appropriate personal appearance
  • Must be able to successfully pass an appropriate background check

Salary is dependent on experience, initially $18.00 per hour. Days to be worked are Monday - Friday, but hours can be adjusted to fit personal needs.
