This is a permanent part-time position, averaging 30+ hours per week.
- Providing computerized bookkeeping services for several small businesses, paying all bills
- Managing unit rental records for 7 storage/office/apartment complexes
- Preparing and posting deposits as needed for the various businesses
- Running payrolls for four business, printing & filing all appropriate tax reports
- Reconciling the applicable bank accounts
- Routinely meeting with prospective or current customers
- Maintain all appropriate confidential customer information
- Preparing and filing all City & Borough of Juneau Sales Tax returns
- Perform other duties as assigned
- Good working knowledge of accounting/bookkeeping; Applicants must have completed at least two or more accounting courses
- Ability to pleasantly interact with customers and owners
- Self-starter, quick learner, can work without a lot of direct supervision
- Must maintain appropriate personal appearance
- Must be able to successfully pass an appropriate background check
Salary is dependent on experience, initially $18.00 per hour. Days to be worked are Monday - Friday, but hours can be adjusted to fit personal needs.
