Summary:

Camp K provides a magnificent setting where youth can explore the natural world around them and engage in a variety of challenging activities. With the supportive guidance of camp counselors, campers build their own unique community, in which youth and teens can thrive - experiencing a sense of belonging, connectedness, safety, and appreciation. 

Positions available this summer include:

  • Summer Program Director: Requirements: Demonstrated skills in camp organization and/or supervision, and eligibility to drive agency vehicles. Current Wilderness First Aid and CPR/AED (Child and Adult) required (Wilderness First Aid certification will be offered at minimal cost to employee during orientation). Season Rate: $10,000 + room and board Season:  May 1- August 18, 2017

  • Facilities Manager: Requirements: Minimum age of 21; eligibility to drive agency vehicles (with demonstrated expertise in operating a 15-passenger van or similar with trailer in tow); prior experience and responsibility in a maintenance field preferred; technical aptitude a must; current First Aid/CPR/AED (Child and Adult) required.  Season Rate: $15.00/hour + Room and Board DOE; Season: May 1 – Aug 18.

  • Target Sports Specialist: Requirements: Minimum age of 18; current Wilderness First Aid and CPR/AED (Child and Adult), (Wilderness First Aid certification will be offered at a low cost to employee during orientation); NAA and Civilian Marksmanship certification (or the ability to become certified) or a comparable certification from a nationally recognized certifying body; previous experience in instructing target sports; previous experience working in a day/resident camp or other youth development program; ability to plan and facilitate activities; ability to be trained in specialized program areas and pass necessary skill assessments. Season Rate: $3,000 + room and board. Season: May 18 – Aug 9. 

  • Lifeguard/Counselor: Requirements: Minimum age of 18; current lifeguard, wilderness first aid and CPR/AED for the professional rescuer certifications (Wilderness First Aid certification will be offered at a low cost to employee during orientation); previous experience working in a day/resident camp or other youth development program; ability to plan and facilitate activities; ability to be trained in specialized program areas and pass necessary skill assessments. Season Rate: $2,800 + room and board; Season: May 22- Aug 2
