Summary:

Come join the Alaska SeaLife Center’s education department to work and learn alongside award winning environmental education professionals.

The Alaska SeaLife Center is the only facility in Alaska that combines a public aquarium with marine research, education, and wildlife response. 

We are looking for a fellow who is eager to learn and expand their skills in organization, education, public speaking, and teamwork. Housing is provided and some remote work and travel is possible.

These fellowships are unpaid. Participation in program for40 hours per week with a minimum commitment of 12 weeks. Housing is provided. College credit may be earned!

Requirements:

  • Applicants must be college graduates or currently enrolled in an accredited college or university with a background or coursework in a related field
  • Applicants must have the ability to understand and follow written and oral instruction, have excellent communication skills, and good organizational skills with attention to detail
  • Applicants must possess the ability to adapt to an ever-changing work environment, and be available weekends, evenings and holidays
  • Public speaking skills, a familiarity with video equipment and software, and experience with education programs are highly encouraged
