Are you ready to be a leader in the Alaska business community?  First National Bank Alaska (FNBA) is actively recruiting bright, motivated college graduates to join our Management Associate Program.  

This outstanding paid training program puts successful candidates on the path to profitable and satisfying careers in commercial lending and branch management.  Develop skills in lending and underwriting, business development, regulatory compliance, branch operations, industry best practices and staff supervision/management.  The FNBA Management Associate Program is recognized throughout the industry as one of the best training programs in Alaska for a career in financial services.  Graduates of the Management Associate Program go on to serve communities throughout the state and meet the growing needs of Alaska businesses.  

Training program is based in Anchorage, but will include travel statewide.  Short-term assignments during training may be at ANY FNBA branch.  Initial placement following completion of program WILL be in one of the following locations: Cordova, Haines, Juneau, Sitka, Seward, Kenai/Soldotna, Homer, Bethel, Healy, Glennallen or Fairbanks.

Requires:

  • Bachelor’s degree in business, finance, marketing, economics or a closely related field
  • 3 years work experience that includes any of the following: outside sales, relationship-based customer service, management/supervision or banking. 
  • MUST be willing and able to travel statewide by automobile, boat or plane and relocate to rural Alaska (see above for list of potential locations) upon completion of program
  • Experience interacting with people and developing relationships in the community
  • Professional demeanor and presentation
  • Exceptional verbal communication and interpersonal skills
  • General knowledge of Alaska and the Alaska business community
  • Analytical thinking skills, attention to detail, ability to multi-task and meet deadlines
  • Must be able to maintain strict confidentiality and exceptional business ethics
  • Intermediate Excel, Word and Outlook
  • MUST possess a valid State of Alaska driver’s license (or be able to obtain upon hire) and provide past driving records showing clean driving history
