Summary: Planned Parenthood is a non-profit family planning agency and leader in reproductive health care, rights, and education in Alaska, Hawaii, Idaho and Western Washington.

Responsibilities: 
  • This position delivers high quality medically accurate education programs to various community organizations including the local school district. You would maintain fidelity and implement evidence based programs (EBP) or grant funded initiatives as needed.
  • This position has the pleasure of facilitating our local Teen Council Peer Education program, which includes recruiting, training and supporting 10 – 14 teens from local high schools.
Travel throughout the Juneau community is required; must have reliable transportation. Occasional travel within our 4 state affiliate may be required.

Qualifications:

  • BA or BS required
  • minimum of two years of experience as an educator, trainer, or in community service

Ideal candidate:

  • The ideal candidate for this position would love working with youth, interacting with community partners and parenting adults, has prior involvement working in small communities, models diversity awareness and has experience with the LGBTQ community.
  • An ideal candidate would demonstrate strong teaching and facilitation, communication, and relationship building skills all while maintaining a high degree of professionalism. In addition, our ideal candidate would be comfortable collaborating with other team members using online platforms and being managed from a distance.
