Summary:

Flight Coordinator/Front Desk:

The position is a hard one to define: Airplane Dispatch, Customer Service, and Front Office Manager all wrapped into one.  Our small team runs more like a family business.  We hire very few staff and everyone tends to do a little of everything.  It is the perfect position for someone who loves to be in the middle of the action, is organized, loves high energy, but can turn serious when needed. We are warm and welcoming to guests and specialize in Alaskan hospitality.  Jeans and logo tops are the uniform.  Male or female this is a great place to spend a summer.  If this fits your personality we will happily provide all the training you need!

Waterfront Ramp Service Personnel (aircraft ground crew):

The Ground Crew or “Rampies” as we call them, must be able to work quickly and efficiently to keep our planes flying on time. Rampies assist the pilots docking and departing Downtown Juneau, securing the floatplanes safe and carefully, fueling and washing the aircrafts, and loading or unloading freight if need be. This position includes physical work, applicant must be able to lift 70lbs regularly and handle working long days. Must be at least 18yrs or older and available for the May-September season. Safety, communication, and responsibility are a priority. Ability to operate a small skiff is preferred but not mandatory. Dock Representative:

Represent Wings Airways as guests from around the world make the choice every day to fly over the amazing Juneau Icefield and historic Taku Glacier Lodge.  We are a small company where every employee is an extremely valuable part of the “team”.   Dock reps assist with day-to-day tour operations on the cruise ship docks, assisting and entertaining passengers in the short period before their tour departs and is the main point of contact with cruise line representatives before, during and after tours have departed. Dock reps help to foster sales and settle daily accounting with cruise lines. Must enjoy engaging in conversation and working in a fast paced environment while maintaining a positive and professional attitude.  Benefits include free flights over the Juneau Icefield and to the Taku Lodge, discounts on work-time meals and other Juneau tours!   • Location: our downtown cabin-like office above our floatplane docks
  • Involves answering phones, greeting guests, assigning aircraft, assisting pilots with their schedule, tour and merchandise sales, managing the daily schedule, taking reservations, communicating with our remote Taku Lodge, watching weather and assisting pilots with weather changes.  

We are an employee owned floatplane company offering glacier flightseeing excursions from the historical Juneau downtown waterfront.  Guests from around the world daily make the choice to trust Wings to introduce then to all that is the amazing Juneau Icefield and historic Taku Glacier Lodge.  We are a small company where every employee is an extremely valuable part of the “team”.  We hire a small staff each season and we require 110% of those hired.  This is the perfect position for people who function well in a fast paced, high-energy organization.  We look for a positive can-do attitude, outgoing personality, genuine energy, and the desire to show guests the best that Southeast Alaska has to offer.

The visitor season:
We provide tours from early May through the end of September.  Most visitors will only have a few hours to a day to experience Juneau and we want our portion of that experience to be absolutely perfect!   We work long hours, and operate seven days a week but have a great time doing it.
