UA 2021 Virtual Career Expo, March 24, 12–3 p.

UAS student and employer talking at the UAS Career Fair

UAS Spring Career Fair

Tuesday, February 27, 2024 from 11:00 am to 2:00 pm

Students & alumni, join us from at the Egan Library (ground floor) on the UAS Juneau Auke Lake campus for an opportunity to meet employers and explore a variety of available jobs and internships.

Employers will be hiring for full-time seasonal summer jobs, part-time and full-time yearly positions, and full-time seasonal internships. Students, Register in Handshake if you would like to connect with participating employers ahead of the career fair (please see below for steps on how to register in Handshake).

What to Expect From the Career Fair

  • You are not required to register ahead of time, but it is strongly encouraged.

  • Registering in Handshake will let you see which employers will be attending and will give employers the opportunity to reach out to you before the fair, giving you an advantage over students & alumni who don’t register in advance.

  • Employers will begin registering on December 12, so check back to see who will be there after you've registered!

  • Steps to register in Handshake:

    1. Login to Handshake with your UAS username and password.
    2. If you haven’t activated your account yet you will need to answer a few questions to get started.
    3. Select 'events' →  'career fair' → '2024 UAS Spring Career Fair' → 'register'
  • Once you've registered, build up your Handshake profile by including these 3 "must haves."
Some students and alumni might not be in Juneau, or your schedule might prevent you from attending. Even if you can’t make it, you can still apply for any jobs or internships posted on Handshake! Visit the  Handshake event page  to see the full list of employers attending the fair and all of their open positions.
  • Send follow-up emails to employers you are interested in working with 24-48 hours after the fair.

  • Connect with employers on Handshake to establish a link to the organization.

  •  Make an appointment  with Career Services for help with writing follow-up messages, polishing job or internship applications and preparing for post-fair interviews.
