Barbara Hegel : 2014 Co-Outstanding Graduate — CIOS Web Development
Learning current computer information and technology has complemented my current position and would complement any position I would hold in the future.I found the web development program invaluable. I received my first degree back in 1992 (Bachelor of Business and Computer Science). Since then I’ve received seven more credentials and, as an employee of UAS, I take advantage of the knowledge available through the university. I feel empowered from what I have learned and consider myself a lifelong learner. I appreciate the flexibility of online classes. The SOM staff is highly dedicated to students, especially Colleen, my instructor. ~Barbara Hegel
Information Systems faculty nominated Barbara Hegel as co-recipient of the CIOS award in part due to her high level of achievement in the program, and in part because she is an outstanding role model for other students. Barbara is inquisitive, motivated, and intelligent, and she challenges herself to look beyond the minimum requirements by applying what she is learning to real world situations. She truly enjoys learning, and inspires other students by bringing her positive attitude and wit to the virtual classroom. ~School of Management
