My UAS Experience

During my time here at the University of Alaska Southeast, I have learned, I have engaged, and I have changed. With the help and support of my family, the wonderful UAS staff and faculty, and the Juneau community, I have learned enough to realize that I know very little. This realization has inspired me to pursue learning experiences, both academic and extracurricular, that allow me to strive for excellence and self-improvement, encourage and expand my involvement in the community, and vastly enrich my understanding of how to be human. The rich and unique community environment that UAS has cultivated on this beautiful Alaskan land situated in Lingit Aani has given me many opportunities to do just that, and it has allowed me to engage in ways that I'm not sure are possible on any other campus in the world. The University of Alaska Southeast has truly allowed me to develop and grow, and my experiences have changed my thinking and given me the tools I need to do my best to be a positive influence on our planet.
