My UAS Experience

The last four years at UAS have been full of new experiences both in and out of the classroom. The biology department at UAS provides students with an environment conducive to learning by offering unique courses and small class sizes that provide extensive one-on-one time with professors. The level of education I’ve received during my undergraduate career has exceeded my expectations at every step along the way. Getting to know each of my professors on a personal level and participating in their research has made this experience even more unique. The vast array of natural habitats available in Southeast Alaska not only provide a playground for the outdoor enthusiast but the ideal setting for class field studies and independent research alike. My experience at UAS has been an amazing journey that’s shaped me into the student I am today. I couldn’t be more thankful for the opportunities this university has provided.
