My UAS Experience

I am so happy to have attended UAS. At this university I was able to get an education that I couldnʼt find at any other college in the world. It was here that I was able to study Tlingit language and culture on Lingít Aaní. I was also exposed to some incredible professors and staff at this university, as well as community members and elders, who I am so grateful to have learned from. There are many people here who challenged, encouraged, and supported me throughout my time here and have allowed me to grow and learn.

I have had many opportunities here at UAS for new and exciting experiences. As a member of Wooch.een, and a student of the Honors Program and PITAAS Program, Iʼve been encouraged to become a leader and advocate for our language and culture, as well as to move beyond my comfort zone and engage with our community.

I am so grateful to the University for the education I have received.
