Carrie Roushar, Ellis Award, Outstanding Student in Accounting
“Carrie was a joy to have in my classes. She put her studies and goal of completing her accounting degree as priorities in her life. She was in my online Intermediate Accounting classes and her comments during the class helped others. I know she will be a great accountant and I wish her success in her career plans.” — Vickie Williams, Assistant Professor of Accounting
Carrie Roushar grew up in Palmer, Alaska and is looking forward to obtaining her CPA and starting an accounting business in the Valley. Carrie’s work history includes working for a Travel Agency, Pension Trust Company and a Law Firm.
Carrie is a dedicated wife and mother who enjoys spending time with family and friends. Her daughter Claire was born on February 28, 2013 and she is an amazing addition to her family.
Carrie’s studies with the University of Alaska Southeast allowed her to finish her degree with online courses and eliminated the need to commute to Anchorage. Carrie thanks the amazing staff and faculty at UAS for their kindness and willingness to go above and beyond for their students.
