Biography:
Cynthia hails from Sitka, where she graduated high school, received her Associate's Degree in Business from UAS and was Student Services Manager on the Sitka Campus. She has advised student government and student activity groups and enjoys advocating on behalf of the university as President of UAS Staff Council and a member of Staff Alliance. She also has experience teaching college orientation classes and management and supervision workshops. Cynthia was also an active member of the Washington Achievers mentorship program, The First Responders program (to aid victims of sexual assault) and the UAS Guide program. She is also actively involved in the Tongass Alaska Girl Scout Council and has served on the board of directors since 2006.
