Elementary Programs Overview

The Bachelor of Arts Degree in Elementary Education is a four-year undergraduate degree program available to entering freshmen. Graduates receive a recommendation for an Initial Alaskan Teaching Certificate, grades K-8. An additional endorsement in Special Education is available with concurrent enrollment in the Special Education Endorsement program. More information...

The Certificate program is a non-degree post baccalaureate program of study preparing students for an initial teaching certificate and is available in elementary education. UAS provides institutional recommendation to the Alaska Department of Education and Early Development which grants certification for grades K-8. More information...
