ED698 - Professional Portfolio Development

Prerequisites: Pre-service teacher or Type A Teaching Certificate
Offered: Every semester (spring and summer are the recommended semesters)
This course is designed to assist practicing or recently employed teachers and administrators in developing a standard-based portfolio. The portfolio should document the required knowledge and ability to apply the standards set by the conceptual framework of the UAS School of Education. The portfolio created in the Educational Technology section of this course will be based on the International Society for Technology in Education Technology Leadership Standards.
This is a capstone course that should be taken after all other required courses have been completed. Class emphasis will be upon actual individual portfolio development and reflective self-evaluations.
Candidates who have completed all required coursework and are ready to complete their portfolio should submit the Instructor Approval Form to Marsha Gladhart for approval before enrolling in the course.
