Jason Potsander - Title 1 Elementary Educational Technology Teacher. Anchorage School District I am now a Title 1 Elementary Educational Technology Teacher with the Anchorage School District. I will primarily be supporting two remedial intervention programs: Waterford and SuccessMaker. This position is funded for two years. In the first year I will mainly support two title 1 schools and in the second year I will move on in supporting two different schools, thus jumpstarting the schools to work independently in the programs I support. Bruce McKay - Principal Deneita School, LowerPost, BC: Denetia School has just ordered digital cameras so that each student
will have a point and shoot camera that they will use in discovering
photography techniques, online photo editing and photo/blog journaling.
The students are starting to design a community survey of the number of
dogs and how they are cared for in Lower Post reserve and then post
results on their school blog. The students will then build dog houses
and donate them to needy dog owning families and then write a report
and post the report and pictures of the project online. Larissa Wright-Elson - South Anchorage High School: I was interviewed on KTVA about the Anchorage School District's new Digital Composition class Trevor Snyder - Chugiak High School I am teaching at Chugiak High School where I advise the Yearbook and student newspaper, which gives me a great chance to use technology with students. Also, my wife is expecting our first child! I'll be a new father come January 2nd!

The UAS campus will be closed from December 23rd through January 3rd. Remember that all applications are now due by the end of the semester you begin the admission process. That means that applications begun in Fall 2009 need to be complete by the end of the fall semester.
Before the news spreads too far and too fast, I want to let you know that I will retire at the end of this school year. The university has begun the paper work to replace me so please don't be concerned that you will be left afloat without an academic advisor or program coordinator. I purposely announced my decision early so the university would have plenty of time to fill the position. I'm looking forward to this new adventure but will miss you all greatly! The last six years have been very rewarding thanks to the wonderful candidates in the ED Technology Program.
