Summer and Fall 2008 Enrollment Open « Back to Topics

Registration is now open for summer and fall 2008 semesters. Current students can register at UAOnline. ED Tech candidates who plan to complete their master's degree by taking ED 698 this summer will need Dr. Gladhart's approval before they can enroll.  Contact Naomi Piehl (naomi.piehl@uas.alaska.edu) for assistance in registering.

New Summer 2008 Course! ED 693 Emerging Technologies « Back to Topics

Are you up on RSS, Blogs, Wikis, Social Networking, Widgets and Mashups?  If you are curious, or just adventurous, enroll in the Emerging Technology course to learn how these Internet tools can bring the Web resources you want to you!  Tech talk with the best of them- and catch up with your students.  You will explore Internet resources that augment your profession and locate useful resources for personal interests. You may enroll for 1 credit hour to get the basics or 3 credit hours to explore the topics in depth. Tell your colleagues about this course. The 1 credit hour version of the course will cover the basics for people who just want to know more about new Web-based tools. Students in the ED Tech Program can use this course as their 3 credit hour elective. Patti DeAngelis will be the instructor for this new course. Patti has a lot of experience teaching distance courses and is a former graduate of the UAS Ed Tech Program.

ED 634 in Anchorage this summer « Back to Topics

Those of you on the road system up north can take advantage of our temporary move of ED 634:  Classroom Integration of Audi-Video Technology to Anchorage for the summer 2008 session.  ED 634 is the only face-to-face course required in the ED Technology Program and is normally taught on the Juneau UAS campus.

Todd Saur will be the instructor this summer and the course will meet  in the ASD Education Center at 5530 E. Northern Lights.  Students need to enter the main entrance (Entrance A)- west end of the building. The classroom is on the 2nd floor, first door at the top of the stairs. Get your friends to enroll too for a fun time learning how to create audio and video for your classroom.
