If you are planning to attend the ASTE Conference, Feb. 20-23, please join us at the Whale's Tail in the Captain Cook Hotel between 4:30 and 6 pm on Monday afternoon for an informal get together. It's always fun to meet everyone face-to-face.
Last fall, the UAS Educational Technology Program received national recognition from our Speciality Professional Association which is the International Society for Technology in Education. This recognition of excellence involved several conditions to which I have since responded, and we recently received word that our program is now fully recognized with NO conditions. This recognition leads to accreditation and recognition by the National council for Accreditation for Teacher Education (NCATE). Recognition of excellence with no conditions reflects well on our program and instructors. Many thanks to all the instructors who assisted with this process. This is cause to celebrate!

The search for a new Coordinator of the Educational Technology Program is underway. Currently the search committee is narrowing down the applicant field and should begin interviews soon. I will continue to be the advisor and coordinator through spring and possibly summer if necessary.
