Educators from Alaska and the world worked together with recognized thought leaders, cultural knowledge bearers, artists and mathematicians in small, hands-on teams exploring the power of place.
They experience Southeast Alaska through guided exploration of the campus of the University of Alaska Southeast and the lakes, streams, and hiking trails in this temperate rain forest. Participants created pedagogies of place using iPads, cultural materials, science equipment, and digital storytelling.
Join fellow educators like teachers, school leaders, and cultural resource people on the campus of the University of Alaska Southeast and the lakes, streams, and hiking trails in temperate rain forests next Summer 2014. (dates to be announced shortly)
Three UAS 593 credits will be offered.
