UAS Preliminary Application
The purpose of the application is to begin the exchange and/or study abroad process. Your thorough completion of the application will allow the Exchange and Study Abroad Coordinator to better assist you with your academic and personal interests. Planning ahead and preparing for your time away from UAS will make all the difference in a successful and rewarding experience. Application Information for the Study Abroad and Exchange Programs
- Financial aid and resident credits apply to all UAS affiliated programs. NOTE: If you select to participate in a program that is not UAS affiliated, you will have to arrange for transfer credit and your financial aid may not apply.
- Review all requirements for the specific national or international exchange or study abroad program(s) you have selected by visiting the appropriate web sites or reviewing program material.
- Application formats and deadlines vary by program. All application forms and program web sites can be accessed through the Academic Exchange and Study Abroad web site: www.uas.alaska.edu/exchanges.
Application deadlines for fall 2010 and spring 2011
National Student Exchange Program (NSE) February 8, 2010 to the UAS Academic Exchange office.
International Student Exchange Program (ISEP)
Priority placement for exchanges only, January 26, 2010 to the UAS Academic Exchange office. ISEP-Direct has no set deadline date for applications yet applications will not be considered within 6 months prior to departure.
AHA-International - Northwest Council on Study Abroad (NCSA), AustraLearn, AsiaLearn, EuroLearn and Institute for Study Abroad - Butler (IFSA-Butler) has varied application deadline dates. Apply as soon as possible to guarantee placement. See specific Website for details.
Several programs will continue to accept applications as long as space is available. Please check with the Academic Exchange office to confirm program availability.
